Sharing my experience driving BMW X3 F25 xDrive in Nigeria
This makes it 1 year and 3 months since I have been driving my BMW F25, my previous car was a 328i 2007 (e90).
First I will share what I like about the BMW F25.
#1
The F25 BMW ground clearance is just perfect. Since I got the car I have never had an issue with my car bottom-cover hitting or scraping over anything. If you live in Nigeria (I live in Northern Nigeria) you will understand why having a car with high ground clearance is a great advantage compared to a non SUV car.
The F25 has great ground clearance. Coming from the E90, you can understand how I felt sitting really high up and having a much better view. If you are coming from a non-SUV car, I guarantee you, you will very much like how well you can see everything from higher up.

Like the fact that the X3 F25 engine is same as my older e90. My first scepticism - me thinking the engine wasnt sufficient in the X3 F25 which is a heavier car than the e90. I was wrong.
You will appreciate just how much power the engine has. It is very much capable. Both X3 f25 and the E90 share the same engine - N52 (naturally aspirated 3L). One of the most reliable engine you can get.
I have never had an issue with the engine. Like... it runs like butter every time.
However, to keep my engine sharp, I do not use cheap MRS engine oil as most do. I use Mobil 1 (0w-40) though its priced much higher than the popular options. I still choose it for peace of mind. I totally dread the possibility of having engine issues.
I am not an aggressive driver. But when I am travelling.. I tend to push and drive quite fast (responsibly though). So.. I want the best synthetic oil I can get. And so far its delivering.
Few changes in terms of engine configuration though between the two cars.
Differences exist in:
1. intake routing
2. exhaust layout
3. accessory placement
4. ECU calibration
5. drivetrain load due to AWD in X3
